retail therapy...

It's the middle of September, which means in my world, it's Fall--regardless of what the outside temperature tells me. And Fall, for me, is the only season in which I like to do a "new season" retailing romp. I might buy a new coat or scarves in Winter, and some new dresses with impending Spring/Summer, but let me tell you, my bank account never survives the weeks from mid-September to Thanksgiving. In preparation for the bingeing beginning tomorrow, here are some things on my lust list (do you love my alliteration?).

First up, I'm pretty sure my love of boots is global knowledge (but then, I like to also conduct mock interviews with me in my head to prepare for inevitable fame). So, here are some pairs I just can't get over.

Chloe suede wraparound.

And these, I have a soft spot for mostly because I just purchased them, and have not removed them from my feet since moment of purchase. I've been looking for a good pair of fringed boots for eons (literally), but the recent trend of super ridiculous moccasin boots ranks with gladiator sandals for me, at the level of hipster awfulness. These by Steve Madden though are a perfect throwback to Woodstock.

I love them so much I'm considering biting the bullet and grabbing a pair of Madden's short ones, too-- http://www.stevemadden.com/item.aspx?id=47091

For my birthday my mother apparently bought me a new bag from Brazil, but the delivery system of packages to apartment buildings is totally wonky, so if and when I ever receive it, there will be a bag post here.

Go listen to Blitzen Trapper and stop to smell the leaves.
